RESEARCH PROPOSAL WRITING FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDIES
Course Description
The purpose of this course is to guide postgraduate students through the writing of acceptable research proposals on NQF levels 9 and 10.
Target Audience
Postgraduate students enrolled for masters- and doctoral studies.
Importance of the Course
Postgraduate students will be taught to write research proposals that convince the reader that their proposed research project is important, based on a strong academic foundation, well thought out in terms of its research methods and feasible.

The course will cover the following topics:
- Definition of a research proposal
- Purpose and importance of a research proposal
- Writing an acceptable research proposal
- Examples of research proposals – the good and the bad
Training Methodology
The course will be presented online. Attendees will receive online presentation as well as examples of research proposals.
