A Leading Supply Chain Knowledge Hub Bridging Research, Education, and Practice for Global Impact
The Advanced Institute for Supply Chain Research (AISCR) is an independent nonprofit research and capacity-building organization advancing procurement and supply chain systems in Africa and emerging economies through applied research, workforce development, policy engagement, and strategic partnerships. AISCR is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with its African Regional Secretariat and founding operations based in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
Originally established in 2019 at the University of South Africa (UNISA) as the African Institute for Supply Chain Research, AISCR adopted its current name in 2026 to reflect its expanded global mission and commitment to advancing research, education, innovation, and institutional capacity in procurement and supply chain management.
AISCR works with universities, governments, industry, and development partners to address procurement and supply chain challenges that limit economic growth, institutional performance, and workforce opportunities. Through evidence-based research, professional education, technical support, and collaborative partnerships, the institute promotes transparent, resilient, efficient, and inclusive supply chain systems.
