ABOUT AISCR
A Leading Supply Chain Knowledge Hub Bridging Research, Education, and Practice for Global Impact
WHO WE ARE
The African Institute for Supply Chain Research (AISCR) is a pan-African, independent, non-profit institute advancing excellence in supply chain research, education, and innovation. Founded in 2019 at the University of South Africa (UNISA) and now headquartered in the United States, AISCR bridges Africa, the U.S., and the global community through evidence-based research, professional training, and strategic policy engagement. We bridge the gap between academic scholarship, industry practice, and public-sector decision-making, ensuring that knowledge leads to implementation, measurable results, and sustainable impact. Rooted in African expertise and guided by a global outlook, AISCR promotes sustainable procurement, digital transformation, and professional excellence, helping organizations build transparent, inclusive, and future-ready supply chains that drive equitable growth.

OUR MISSION
We conduct evidence-based supply chain research, deliver transformative education, and advance impactful practices that accelerate inclusive and sustainable economic development across Africa, the United States, and the global community.
Our work directly supports the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reinforcing our commitment to sustainable, inclusive, and innovation-driven development.
What We Do
AISCR strengthens supply chain systems by:
- Producing research and data intelligence that guide policy and organizational decisions.
- Developing talent and leadership through professional and executive education.
- Supporting governments and organizations through advisory and technical assistance.
- Connecting stakeholders through conferences, knowledge networks, and dialogue platforms.
