About the programme

The Supplier Development Accelerator is a twelve-week programme for
small and growing businesses that want to compete for contracts with
governments, institutions and large companies, and then perform those
contracts successfully.
It is built on AISCR’s research into the supplier readiness gap: many
businesses can win work but are not yet ready to deliver it. Each business
starts with a diagnostic assessment and follows learning matched to its
gaps. Mentors then help it put an improvement plan into action

WEEKS 1–2

Diagnose

SERI readiness assessment and an improvement plan agreed with your mentor.

WEEKS 3–9

Build

Targeted modules on buyers, bids, finance, contracts, capacity and compliance.

WEEKS 10–12

Demonstrate

Re-assessment, a buyer-reviewed mock bid and a capability statement.

WHO SHOULD APPLY

  • Small and medium-sized businesses seeking public-sector or corporate contracts
  • Businesses that have won contracts but struggle with delivery, cash flow or compliance
  • Minority-owned, women-owned and locally owned businesses entering formal supply chains

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • Assess the business’s contract readiness against a structured diagnostic
  • Understand how buyers plan, procure and evaluate suppliers
  • Prepare stronger, compliant and competitively priced bids
  • Strengthen financial readiness, including cash flow, bonding, insurance and access to finance
  • Manage contracts, quality and delivery performance to buyer expectations
  • Present a credible, evidence-based capability case to buyers
