About the seminar

The AfCFTA Trade to Table Corridor Seminar is a focused one-day
programme on how goods move under the African Continental Free Trade
Area. Using a “trade to table” approach, it follows products from the point
of origin, across borders and through logistics networks to the end
market.
The seminar brings together traders, logistics operators, officials and
policy practitioners to examine where corridors work, where they break
down, and what each group can do to move goods faster, cheaper and
more reliably

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

  • Exporters, importers and traders operating or planning to operate across African borders
  • Freight forwarders, transporters, clearing agents and logistics providers
  • Customs, border management, trade and standards officials
  • Policy practitioners, trade advisers and business association representatives

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Explain how the AfCFTA affects tariffs, rules of origin and market access
  • Map a product’s journey along a trade corridor and identify bottlenecks
  • Describe the main border procedures and trade facilitation measures
