The Smart Pathways Career Academy is AISCR’s flagship workforce pipeline initiative designed to prepare students, graduates, and emerging professionals for future careers in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, transportation, warehousing, operations, business analytics, technology, trade, and related fields.

Through practical learning, mentorship, career readiness, industry exposure, applied simulations, and employer engagement, Smart Pathways Academy connects academic learning with real-world career opportunities. The programme is designed to help participants discover career pathways, build confidence, develop workplace skills, and prepare for education, employment, internships, apprenticeships, and professional growth.

1. Who is this program intended for?

This course is designed for a wide audience, including early-career professionals who want to establish themselves in the field, mid-career professionals seeking to advance or pivot their careers into supply chain management, and individuals from other sectors wishing to transition into this dynamic field.

2. What will I learn from this program?

Participants will gain end-to-end knowledge of supply chain management, including core concepts, advanced strategies, the impact of technology, sustainability considerations, leadership skills, and career advancement tools. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills and real-world case studies to prepare participants for success in the supply chain industry.

3. How long is the program?

The course duration is 8 weeks every weekend. Please refer to the program schedule for more details.

4. Is there a certification upon completion?

Yes, AISCR will provide participants who successfully complete all course requirements, including attendance, and participation will receive a certificate of completion acknowledging their competency in supply chain management.

5. How is the program delivered?

The program utilizes a blend of teaching methodologies, including instructor-led virtual lectures, interactive workshops, simulation games, case study analyses, and mentorship sessions, all to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.

6. Are there any prerequisites for joining the program?

There are no strict educational prerequisites for this course. A basic understanding of business management concepts and a strong interest in supply chain management are recommended for the best experience.

7. Who are the instructors in the program?

Our instructors are experienced supply chain professionals led by Prof Marcus Ambe and Mr Augustine Enow Agbor. They bring practical insights from academia and industry and are committed to providing personalized guidance to help participants achieve their career goals.

8. How much does it cost to enroll in the program, and are there any funding options?

The program cost is $150 per module including a $100 once-off registration fee. We strive to make education accessible, so there are AISCR registered members will receive 10% discount towards tuition assistance.

9. How can I apply, and what are the key dates?

You can apply through our online using AISCR weblink. The course begins on February 02, 2024, and the application deadline is January 31, 2024, for the first intake. See the program brochure for other intakes. We encourage prospective students to apply early as spaces are limited.

The program includes sessions on resume building, interview preparation, and job-hunting strategies. Additionally, our strong industry connections provide participants with networking opportunities and potential job leads. Our dedicated career support continues even after course completion.

11. I'm currently employed. Is this program suited for working professionals?

Absolutely, the course schedule is designed to accommodate working professionals. Classes are held in the evenings during the week and on Saturdays to ensure that you can manage work and study effectively.
