Siyabonga has an extensive experience that spans a professional career of over more than 20 years in Corporate Governance, Public Finance, Auditing, Infrastructure Development, Programme Management, Strategy Development and Implementation as well as Banking. Siyabonga is a founder and CEO of Lesiba Capital an African Black owned and managed corporate advisory and investment company. Siyabonga is the Interim Board Member of the Universal Access Agency of South Africa since September 2018. Siyabonga is the Independent Director of Infrastructure Finance Corporation (INCA) (a privately-owned financier of municipal infrastructure projects). Siyabonga is the Ministerial appointee to the Council of the University of Limpopo and serves as the Deputy Chairperson of its Audit and Risk Committee.

He also serves as the member of the Audit and Risk Committee of INCA and he is the current Chairman of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee of INCA Portfolio Managers (Pty) Ltd. He passed his final qualifying exams in 1999 and completed his articles training contract in 2001. At Lesiba Capital, Siyabonga has advised and currently undertaking fund-raised on the following projects, amongst others: Conducted a feasibility study and fund-raising for the expansion of the Automotive Supplier Park. Conducted financial feasibility and financial modelling of Gauteng Schools Infrastructure Programme. He further conducted a due diligence and valuation of a target life insurance business acquisition on behalf of a client. Siyabonga is an Ex-Partner at Deloitte, Southern Africa.
