Prof. Arthur Ahimbisibwe

Prof. Arthur Ahimbisibwe (PhD) holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from Victoria University of Wellington-New Zealand, Master of Science in Procurement and Supply Chain Management with a distinction, and a first class degree in Procurement and Logistics Management both degrees from Makerere University-Uganda.

Prof. Ahimbisibwe also possess professional qualifications such as being a certified member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply-MCIPS (UK), a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport-FCILT (UK), a certified member of Project Management Institute-PMI (UK) and a Certified Procurement Professional, Institute of Procurement Professionals of Uganda-(IPPU) among other qualifications. He is a Professor of Supply Chain Management, a senior researcher, consultant and an accomplished academician.

Prof. Ahimbisibwe has over fifteen (15) years of working experience in universities, of which six (06) years are in senior managerial positions. He has served in various managerial positions as a Head of Department (HOD), Dean of School of Postgraduate Studies, Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics and Research (DVCA/R) and a Vice Chancellor (VC) from both Makerere University and University of Kigali respectively. He has been passionately engaged in research and published extensively in over 80 top journals. Most of his research papers have been awarded the best papers in research. Prof. Arthur Ahimbisibwe has supervised of over 300 postgraduate students in research. He has conducted and participated in several training workshops and consultancies in both private procurement and public procurement.
