The abstract should be sent to Prof Guyo, email: colloquium@aiscrglobal.org, no later than 20 June 2024. The full accepted proposal should not be more than 20 pages.

Student Case Competition

The conference offers an opportunity for students across African universities to participate in a student case competition. The student competition aims to provide a unique learning opportunity for supply chain students (undergraduate) and create awareness of it importance in solving business problems. The case competition allows students to interpret, analyze, evaluate, and synthesize a supply chain management problem and present its implications to developing countries. The competition includes cash prizes totaling $3000.  Funds for the competition will be made available through the gracious support of corporate sponsors of the conference.

Students are expected to work in teams of three to five from the same university or different universities and colleges, guided by an instructor. Following selection, the finalist teams will be required to do a presentation to judges’ panels consisting of business professionals from the corporate sponsor. For more information on how to register to participate, kindly contact Dr Gladness Salema, email: gladness.chitama@gmail.com

Educator’s Workshop

During the conference, we will be hosting an educators’ workshop. The purpose of the educators’ workshop is to provide a collaborative space for academics and practitioners in the field of supply chain management, to discuss the current and future research practices in education and pedagogy in Africa. For this year’s conference, we will have presentations focusing on teaching experiences, pedagogical approaches, simulation games, case study method teaching, continuous learning, and other areas of interest in the field of education. For any further information, please email Prof Micheline Naude at naudem@ukzn.ac.za.
