SUPPLY CHAIN GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY

“Our research emphasizes the importance of transparency, ethics, and governance in building resilient and accountable supply chains that deliver value to all stakeholders”

Overview

Supply chain governance and accountability issues in Africa are complex, involving challenges such as corruption, weak regulatory frameworks, and inadequate enforcement. Corruption, weak oversight, and limited transparency hinder fair competition and inflate costs, while poor supplier relationship management impedes responsible practices. Strengthening governance and accountability mechanisms is crucial to ensure ethical and efficient supply chain operations.

What We Do

AISCR conducts rigorous research to assess the root causes of governance failures within supply chains. We engage with stakeholders to develop context-specific solutions that strengthen regulatory frameworks, improve transparency, and promote ethical practices. Our work informs policy recommendations and advocacy efforts aimed at improving supply chain accountability and governance in Africa.
